The month of August has finally arrived. Nobody got lucky enough to claim the previous jackpot prizes in the July draws of America’s favorite lottery. But things could change as a new leaf on the calendar has been turned.
The last draw for the month of July offered a massive $166 million jackpot and a cash option worth $120.4 million. Since no one won the draw, the jackpot has been carried over to Tuesday night’s Mega Millions Prize.
The new jackpot that everyone is yearning to win this week is a whopping $179 million. There is also an equally impressive cash option worth $129.5 million at stake during the draw.
In case you won’t win the jackpot, there is still hope as Mega Millions offers prizes to other combos. Just recently, a Charlotte man collected his $1 million prize after getting all five white balls for the July 2 draw.
The odds of winning the prize for the five white balls is 1 in 12.6 million. This means the man really got lucky after purchasing his $2 ticket from the 7-Eleven on Freedom Drive in Charlotte.
