The last Powerball draw had a jackpot worth $81 million. Since no one emerged victorious in securing the prize on Jan. 9’s draw, the jackpot for Jan. 12’s draw is bigger.
- The White Powerball Numbers for Jan. 9 were 6-19-37-49-59.
- The Red Powerball Number was 22.
- The Power Play was 3x.
Even though no one won the top prize, two tickets sold in West Virginia and Florida managed to get the five White Powerball Numbers right. This means the lucky ticket holders won $1 million. The ticket holders did not use the Power Play option; therefore, they failed to increase their winnings to $2 million.
Two tickets sold in Michigan brought home $50,000. On the other hand, 456,683 tickets sold in the drawing won at least $4.
The next Powerball draw is scheduled to happen this Saturday, Jan. 12, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The estimated jackpot is $96 million, while the cash value is $58.8 million.
UPDATE: The Powerball Winning Numbers for the Jan. 12 draw are the following:
- The White Powerball Numbers are 7-36-48-57-58.
- The Red Powerball Number is 24.
- The Power Play is 2x.
Powerball is available in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Each ticket costs $2 and players get to choose five white numbers from 1 to 69 and one red ball from 1 to 26. For an additional $1 per play, the Power Play feature multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, 5, or 10 times.
